Willi Wise Volunteers

Volunteers are a critical part of Willi Wise Day Camp!!

Adult Leaders

Willi Wise Day Camp is staffed 100 % by volunteers.
It would not be possible to run Willi Wise Day Camp
and keep prices affordable without our volunteers!

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR THE KIDS !

All Adult Volunteers are background checked

Adults who volunteer for the entire week can bring one camper to camp for free.  ($125 value)  Additional campers are $50 each.  Tots (children of leaders who are younger than kindergarten age) are $25 each.   Each adult volunteer also receives a camp t shirt.

There are many volunteer positions at camp.

     Unit Leader

     Tot Unit Leader
We provide the Tot Unit as an option for our adult leaders to bring along their children who are too young to be campers.  This
allows adults to volunteer without having to hire a babysitter for their tots.

Our tot unit is allowed to set up inside our camp headquarters building.  We bring in a portable TV and DVD system so they can
relax and watch movies.  We also provide camp cots so little ones can nap.  There is a large table of craft supplies that can be used
for them to make arts & crafts.  The Tot Unit Leader is allowed to use the indoor kitchen to prepare meals for the kids. And there is
a playground with swings, monkey bars and slides for the little ones to play on.

     Nature Leader
The Nature Center Leader is responsible for guiding the units through different age appropriate activities of nature exploration.

Each unit receives a supply box with essentials such as soap, matches, a can opener, cutting board, serving spoons, etc.  The
Supply Organizer is in charge of assembling the Supply Boxes for each unit and distributing them, as well as collecting them at the
           end of camp.

     Camp Nurse
The Camp Nurse is responsible for attending to all of the little boo boo's that happen at camp on a daily basis.
A well stocked First Aid kit is provided.  A simple "Visit to the Nurse" form is filled out for each camper who needs to see the nurse

The Grocery Shopper also divides food among the units according to how many people are in each unit.

     Camp Accountant
The Camp Accountant is responsible for receiving all incoming camper registrations and making sure all of the appropriate forms                and  payments are turned in for each camper.

Friday Helper
Are you interested in helping out, but can't commit to a full week at camp?  We are always looking for extra help on Friday afternoon for our end of camp party!  Please contact the camp director for more information.

Junior Leaders
Junior leaders are girls entering 7th grade - 12th grade who volunteer their time to help at camp for the week.

Junior Leaders work in groups of 2 or more to assist adult leaders with activities and meal prep at camp.

In order to cover insurance and food costs, we ask Junior Leaders to pay $50 each.  A camp shirt is included in this price.

Junior Leaders have lots of fun at camp!  The weekend before camp opens, we host a sleepover at camp for our Junior Leaders.  We have snacks, crafts, movies, games and a camp fire and the girls just get to hang out, relax & get to know each other.
